For this Dutch Christmas musical, I assisted Jonathan Saville* in the making of four puppet band members and a grouchy Christmas tree. I assembled and sculpted the foam bodies of the puppets, and built the frame of the Christmas tree from piano wire and fibreglass rods, before creating lengths of ruched green netting and kimble-tagging them to the green form to give the illusion of pine needles.

To make the sunglasses for the tree, I cut some black perspex on a bansaw and, using a mini router and a range of sanding tools, persuaded it in to a smooth and shiney shape with rounded edges. I made the arms and lenses in a similar way, finally glueing them in to place with some epoxy resin adhesive.
